Ever since my visit to the Nepalese Peace Pagoda during the Brisbane Expo I had set my sights on travelling to this small Himalayan Kingdom. Finally in 1999 and then again in 2001 I flew to the other side of the world and discovered its medieval charm for myself. These photographs taken in Kathmandu, the surrounding valleys and a trekking adventure through the Langtang Ranges reflect a lifestyle unchanged by time and people who were willing to share some moments in time with me.
